About IMD Portal

Technological innovation is now the key differentiator between business leaders and followers. We, at Reliance General Insurance, have always been at the forefront when it comes to adapting technology to business needs. We firmly believe that it is imperative to include all our stakeholders in this process and are now launching a focused site for Intermediaries, the ‘Intermediary Portal'.

Reliance General Insurance's Intermediary Portal is a real-time channel that our intermediaries can use to submit new business, and to view the status of their existing business. This portal caters to multiple requirements that they may have including issuance of policies, downloading of renewal notices & policy schedules, and preparation of MIS reports that are required on a day-to-day basis.

The portal aims at making our intermediaries independent by reducing the need for interacting with our sales managers and branch offices for policy servicing requirements.

The main objective of launching this portal is to encourage our intermediaries to bring in more business and to take care of all their servicing requirements easily.

One of the most important features is that, this portal is available 24 x 7 x 365; access is available over the Internet from anywhere, at any time.

Features of IMD

§        Capture customer details

§        Calculate premium online

§        Pay premium online

§        View/Print policy schedule

§        Generate Online Cover note - Motor

§        Create Intermediary hierarchy

IMD Portal Benefits:

§        Intermediaries are independent.

§        They can log on to the portal from anywhere.

§        The interface is user-friendly.

§        Minimal data entry or technical knowledge required.

§        Payment option through CDT available.

§        Intermediaries can create sub-users for their various offices.

§        They can save and print policy certificates anytime.

Intermediaries can issue policies to insurers for various products at pre-arranged rates and terms & conditions. They can sell their products directly or through the agents. Once the quotation is accepted by the insurer it is converted into policy. The insurer has to pay for the policies that are bought through cheque, drawn in the name of the intermediary. The payment options available to an intermediary are Cash Deposit (CD) or Cash Deposit Trigger (CDT), Cheque or Demand Draft (DD) and Online (through credit card).

IMD provides a value proposition for customers as they no longer need to maintain a separate stamp account; they can use the same Open Cover in branches at other locations; they can copy existing certificate details and avoid re-entry; and they can save a proposal & finalize it later, and also view old certificates any time.
